- Create a calm space: Choose a quiet room with minimal movement noise or other pets to help your fur friend feel more secure. Close windows and doors and choose a room without places to hide.
- Prepare to succeed: Have everything you need ready to go. This keeps the process smooth and prevents your pet from being unsettled by delays.
- Build a simple routine: Offer medication at the same time in the same calm place so that your pet knows what to expect. A predictable routine supports confidence and reduces stress.
- Start young: Get them used to accepting medication early for a lifetime of easy wellbeing. Consider practicing with a little treat!
- Check the label carefully: To see if medication needs to be given with a meal, after food or on an empty stomach so that medication works properly without upsetting their tummy.
