General
1. The Promoter is Veterinaryfirst Limited, trading as Petfirst Veterinary (hereon called Petfirst).

2. Entrants into the Petfirst Veterinary 2027 Calendar Photo Competition shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.

3. The Petfirst Veterinary 2027 Calendar Competition is open to New Zealand residents only.

4. Entries open 9am Monday 1 June 2026 and close 11:59pm Sunday 19 July 2026.

5. You retain copyright as the author of your competition entry. By entering, you grant Petfirst Veterinary and Veterinaryfirst Limited exclusive rights to use your photo for commercial services, as outlined in clauses 8-14 below.

Your entry must be entirely your own work - no copying, no third-party content and no materials you don't have permission to use. Photos created by AI are not accepted.

Photos much not show anything unsafe, offensive, defamatory, or unlawful. If we believe your entry breaches these Terms and Conditions or isn't your original work, Petfirst may disqualify it.

6. The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this competition is governed by the Privacy Laws of New Zealand. Your personal information shall not be provided to any third parties without your prior consent, but you do authorise Petfirst Veterinary to be able to contact you with information pertaining to the competition or related promotions.

7. Employees of Petfirst Veterinary and Veterinaryfirst (and their pets) are not eligible to enter this competition.

Submissions
8. Photos can be of any companion animal species you deem your pet, including dogs, cats and pocket pets. As the pet owner, you agree that you have the right to consent the use of provided photos (per clause 13).

9. We encourage photos that demonstrate the bond you and your family have with your pet. By submitting photos into this competition, you confirm that you give consent (for yourself) or have obtained consent (for anyone else in the photos) for use of provided photos (per clause 13). Additionally, if children under 18 years of age are included in the photograph, you confirm that you are authorised to provide this consent.

10. Only one photo per pet can be entered, however you can submit multiple pets per household. However, only one winner per household will be selected.

11. Each photo must be a high-resolution JPG, at least 1MB (but no larger than 4MB).

12. Images must be in landscape (horizontal) orientation and in colour.

13. By submitting photos into this competition, you agree and accept that, photos may be used for future purposes of promoting the competition or Petfirst Veterinary and Veterinaryfirst products and services in all current and future Petfirst Veterinary and Veterinaryfirst channels, including but not limited to in-clinic (including clinic digital screens), social, digital and traditional media, even if you are not a winner in this competition.

14. The competition entry form collects information used to validate your entry and allow us to contact you regarding this competition (and with other marketing communications if you subscribe to these – you can unsubscribe at any time). You agree that the following information can be used publicly through our channels (per clause 13) including on the calendar if you are a winner:

• Pet’s name
• Your first name
• General location (region only)
• Your reply to entry form questions about the bond between you and your pet
• Small 'author' selfie of you and your pet to accompany your story in the calendar (winners only)

Judging
15. Judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

16. The winning photos will be announced prior to 30 September 2026.

17. The winning photos will be displayed on both the Petfirst Veterinary/Veterinaryfirst Facebook and Instagram pages, website and via email to customers and/or competition entrants, once the winning images have been selected, and winners notified.
 
Prizes
18. There are twelve (12) prizes to be won. Each winner will receive:

• $100 (incl GST) Petfirst Veterinary credit
• Ten (10) copies of the Petfirst Veterinary 2027 Calendar

Prize voucher value will be added to winner's current Petfirst Veterinary account. If a winner does not have an account, one will be created for this purpose.

19. Delivery of prizes will occur before 30 November 2026 and be organised through email contact with the winners.

20. If prize winners fail to reply to Petfirst Veterinary’s communication once the competition has ended via email and/or phone as provided on the competition entry form, within 7 days, the prize will be passed onto another entrant the judges select.
