Hill's nutritionists and veterinarians have developed clinical nutrition especially formulated to help cats effectively lose weight and maintain normal insulin levels.
Weight reduction for overweight cats and insulin control for diabetic cats:
Almost 50% of the pet population is overweight. Even a little extra weight can lead to serious health problems. Extra weight reduces play time, impacts mobility and affects the general health of your cat. Factors contributing to weight gain include age, lack of exercise and overfeeding. Many commercial pet foods are loaded with salt and fat, which improve the taste but also have dramatic effects on your cats weight and overall health. Along with frequent physical exercise, choosing the right food plays a very important role in helping cats reach their proper weight. At Hill's, nutritionists and veterinarians have developed clinical nutrition especially formulated to help cats effectively lose weight and maintain normal insulin levels.

Storing Hill's canned food
We do not recommend freezing your pet's foods. Freezing canned pet food dramatically changes the texture of products and may adversely affect palatability. Your pet's feeding bowl should be emptied of moist or moistened food not consumed by the pet within four hours if the ambient temperature is above 10 degrees Celcius. Prior to opening, store cans in a place where the temperature is between 10-35 degrees Celcius. We do not suggest storing your pet's food in an uncontrolled environment such as a garage or outdoors. After opening, canned products should be covered and stored in a refrigerator. In general, refrigerated canned foods should be used within five to seven days after opening.
